A race through the linked world of knowledge – that's Wiki Race.
Wiki Race (also called "The Wiki Game" or "Wikispeedia") is a game where two or more players simultaneously try to navigate from one random Wikipedia article to a specific target article – exclusively by clicking on links within articles. Whoever arrives first or uses the fewest clicks wins.
The concept emerged in the mid-2000s, shortly after the rise of Wikipedia. Students worldwide played the game at parties and in university. In 2007, researchers at Carnegie Mellon University developed "Wikispeedia" as a scientific project to analyze human navigation on the web. The game became a viral hit.
