Strategies & Tips

With these strategies you'll become an unbeatable Wiki Wars pro.

The Hub Article Strategy

In Wikipedia there are articles that receive an extremely large number of links from other articles – so-called "hubs". These include articles about countries (Germany, USA), major cities (Berlin, London), historical events (World War II, Moon Landing) and basic concepts (Mathematics, Physics). Navigate to a hub first, from there you can quickly reach almost any other article.

Use Geographic Connections

Almost every Wikipedia article about a person, event or invention links to at least one country or city. Use these geographic hubs as waypoints. From a country article you can reach continents, history and culture in just a few clicks.

Use Temporal Connections

Articles about decades or centuries (e.g. "20th Century") link to hundreds of events and people. When you're stuck, navigate to a year article – from there it's often just one click to the goal.
